The members of the Board of Trustees met with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Violence against Children Najat Maalla, and the UNICEF representative in Jordan / Tanya Chapuisat, and they presented during the meeting the experience of the Council in strengthening and institutionalizing the protection system.
Maalla praised Jordan's leading role in the field of protection, which has made great strides in this field, indicating that talking about the protection system always means involving all institutions, including the private sector.
She indicated the United Nations approach to the principle of convergence between countries' experiences in protection and the quality of services provided to protect all family members, refugees, and persons with disabilities, taking into account that each country has its priorities within its available resources.
