NCFA's new nursery starts receiving children

The National Council for Family Affairs' new nursery was opened today and started receiving its children. The opening was attended by the Vice-chairman of NCFA Board of Trustees Dr. Rajai Muasher accompanied by members of the board and representatives from the Ministry of Social Development and Public Security Directorate.
In this occasion, NCFA Secretary-General Fadel AL-Hmoud indicated that NCFA, through its cooperation with the Arab Gulf Development Program (AGFUND), seeks to establish and develop a model methodology for operating and institutionalizing nurseries in Jordan in accordance with the highest international standards. Al-Hmoud noted that under the directions of HM Queen Rania Al-Abdullah (Chairperson of the Board of Trustees), NCFA pays great concern to early childhood and understands the importance of building a generation that is aware and active in society.
It is to be noted that NCFA signed an agreement with AGFUND in 2007 the outcome of which was the opening of ten nurseries in a number of institutions the last of which in NCFA. Throughout the duration of the project, accreditation standards for licensing nurseries were developed. Also developed were a manual for evaluating the quality of early childhood environment, a parental awareness manual and a training manual for the activities provided for children from birth to four years of age to enhance the life skills of this age group.
