Partnership between NCFA and Family Violence Victims Protection Society

The National Council for Family Affairs and Family Violence Victims Protection Society signed a memorandum of understanding to harmonize work in the area of family protection at the national level.
The MoU was signed by NCFA Secretary-General Fadel Al-Hmoud and Dalia Al-Farouqy, head of the administrative board at the society, with a view to regulate work between the two parties, identify joint mechanisms and programs to curb violence against the family and the child in society and disseminate specialized knowledge pertaining to family issues and protection against family violence.
The MoU included a plan of action to implement training and awareness projects and programs specialized in family issues, prepare research and studies, and conduct seminars and scientific meetings on all matters of interest to the family.
According to Al-Hmoud, the signing comes as part of NCFA's belief in the collaborative work and owing to its desire to open new horizons for work particularly with respect to harmonization of work on family protection issues. It also reflects NCFAs' faith in its partnerships with civil society organizations, its effective role in society and its capacities and efficiencies which are in line with national priorities in the area of family protection and empowerment.
On her part, Al-Farouqy pointed out that the Society adopts the principles of partnership and collaboration in all its current and future programs, projects and activities in recognition of the importance of joints institutional efforts with governmental and non-governmental organizations and all those involved in the elimination of violence and family violence in particular.
