10-05-2016

As part of NCFA's project "Support and activation of private sector kindergartens" to encourage women to participate in the labor market, two kindergartens were opened in the Governorate of Irbid, the first one in Al-Asr Factory for Ready Wear in Al-Hasan Industrial City and the second in Al-Areen Factory in Deir Abi said. The two kindergartens will provide care for the children of 800 female workers in a friendly environment that encourages women to increase their engagement in the labor market.
Establishing kindergartens in women's workplaces reflects the employers' belief in the empowerment of working women and their responsiveness to their needs in ensuring a safe and encouraging working environment and providing educational, health, psychological and physical care for the children from birth to four years of age as well.
The two kindergartens will provide ten employment opportunities for job seekers listed within the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) Register.
It is to be noted that the project funded by the Employment, Technical and Vocational Education Training (E-TVET) Fund in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor aims at establishing 80 model private sector kindergartens across the Kingdom. The project also includes training (888) female job seekers on early childhood care skills, 755 of which to be chosen based on the CSB lists to be later on employed in these kindergartens. The project will also train 133 from new graduates to work in high quality private sector institutions thus provide 755 employment opportunities of work in institutional kindergartens.
